We spent some time this last weekend in Lakeport fishing and catching up with some out of town family.  The kids had a great time.  Fish were caught by all, which always makes such a non child friendly sport more exciting.  Kevin grew up fishing this lake and I can tell he LOVES watching his kids do the same.  Cooper was sure to keep his distance from the water after the hearing the story about how “when I was your age I fell in the Lake and Papa had to pick me out”.  I suppose he was not quite ready to have such tales passed down about himself.

Here’s to the “fish” they caught that were “this” big..

    I do like that lake but it was nasty this time. I am so glad the kids didn’t fall in, though it was close with Paige a few times.

    I love it and I totally agree that fishing…not so much for the kids. We usually end up fishing on a steep cliff…lots of jagged rocks, you know the type?
