my reality
I have the house to myself this morning, well the baby is sleeping, and Kevin took the older three to Home depot for their kids workshop. I was scrolling through the pictures to find something to blog about and I came across this picture Kevin must have snapped when I was not looking. I had a good laugh as I realized that he captured how I do what I do.. I am so glad to have this photo. I am sure in a few years I will have forgotten what mornings looked like around this house. My reality.. lots of young kids, lots of laundry, and lots of love. Imagine what the kitchen looked like on this day.. glad he did not document that one.
As far as Zeke’s undies… well, I have no idea.. we are trying to teach him how to do a few things for himself.
Hot Wheels..
Much to the dislike of Coop and Zeke our new truck does not have flames… but it has one smokin’ hot driver… We picked up our new truck last week and the kids are thrilled.
the truck bed is the only place in the garage where we can now walk… I’m not kidding.
climbing through the window is more thrilling that one could ever have imagined.
Zeke taking drivers education very seriously.
Paige wondering who on earth still uses dash mats…
So thankful how God works things out like us getting this new truck, and how excited Kevin is now that he has some manly wheels..
Auntie “Wora”
Auntie “Wora” has been here for the last few days and we are loving it. She has been helping so much.. laundry, cleaning up toys, rushing children to the potty! What are we going to do when she leaves…..
Last night Cooper with bottom lip quivering was holding back the tears as we talked about her having to go home soon… Adding that “next time you come could you stay for 10 days and not just five”. I would love it.. but am wondering if she could handle 10 days of all 6 of us. Kevin can be real draining on her and all….
We love you!
passing it along..
Most of you who know me “know” my affection for anything with polka dots..If it has a polka dot on it, I want it. I wish it were acceptable to paint my living rooms walls with them. Instead I stick to using them for things like.. my babies bedding, my toddlers bedding, many of the the sheet sets in our house, dishes, kitchen towels, shower curtains, Christmas cards, birth announcements, my fabric stash.. the list go’s on and on… More than likely you have been a recipient of some sort of polka dot goodness from me..
To my delight Paige has followed suit.. when she said to me today… “mommy I want to wear my polka dot shirt…. it’s my FRAVORITE”….Ohhhh how my cup runneth over! You can bet I am on the hunt for a swimsuit covered it some amazing polka dots! Some day I may be looking for polka dotted brides maid dresses…. hehe
In this house full of Star Wars, Ninjas and Lego’s this little one is all girl.. I love her!
swimming
Like mother, like daughter
I had a good laugh today as I watched Paige trying to squeeze herself into the infant seat.. It reminded me how I feel every morning as I try and squeeze myself into my clothes.. I felt super awesome this morning after Cooper asked me when my belly was going to “grow back down”. So here I am, 4 kids and…. at least 4 sizes later …. apparently I have a sense of humor about it all!
I think I may try sticking my tongue out like she does, maybe things will work out better for me too!
Guess which one…
Argh….
Honestly.. who dresses this girl
What is going on here… socks over her tights, crooked skirt, 2 hair pieces… she is an adorable mess… Don’t you worry…we don’t go out in public like this..

She adores him…
This little girl can be found wherever the baby in the house is…

Yes, I did lift her into his crib..

and YES, I did let her share her new headband with him.
We want to always encourage sharing in this house…
Sorry daddy.. But even with this HUGE flower wrapped around his head he still looks very manly!
