Theology

Zeke always seems to amaze us.  He has a brilliance about him that makes me think he is gonna do great things for the Kingdom of God.  He is quick to memorize, recall and act.

This is what he said this morning..

“Paige, lets play old testament.  You pretend to be David, I am a false god and you have to bow down and worship me”..

I busted out laughing.. he snickered and walked away.   I am pretty sure Paige was ready to throw David under the bus and worship the false god… :)

Today you scored your first TWO soccer goals.  I almost did not make the game, daddy locked my keys inside my car.  You were both humble and excited at the same time.   I pulled out the camera as soon as I realized it was going to happen.. I did not get a pic of you.. but I got this one of your dad who was beyond thrilled… Look how his feet are not even on the ground.  Hope you always know that your daddy  is your biggest fan!

Africa..

by Dena on September 14th, 2011

God is bending our families heart and ears in big ways to the country of Africa.  More on that later… Don’t be too surprised if you get a support letter in the mail from us.. Today in the car a man “talking African” was calling us to remember to pray for the African people.. Immediately Paige held up her pointer finger and said “mommy PRAY”.. we stopped and prayed.  I pray God would continue to open our eyes and ears to this county.. through people we know, trips we may take, and African sounding men on the radio!

just in case you live close.. you will not want to miss this event.. WORLD VISION EXPERIENCE.. Africa

sometimes I sit back and realize how fast my kids are growing.  so much joy and sadness floods thru my mind.  These three LOVE to play. And LOVE to fight.. I like the play part much better…

Sweet Cooper

by Dena on September 9th, 2011

This week Coop has been learning about Wooly Mammoths…  He knows A LOT about them.  Retelling the tales of hunters, traps and all of their body parts (except the blood) being reused for something else.    My sweet 6 year old has a sensitive little heart, easily intimidated by stressful tales.  Last night he told me he was having bad thoughts as he tried to sleep.  We stopped to pray..

“Dear Jesus, please take away the thoughts I am having that are bad.  Help me to have thoughts about mommy, daddy, Paige, Zeke and Fisher.  To have happy thoughts.  Please Jesus, please, please please… Amen.

Love that he is at the age he can cry out and ask God for things… His report this am was that God answered his prayer.  AMEN.  Wanting to remember with him that our God hears us and cares.

side note.. my name came first in the list of happy thoughts.. hee hee

Interrupting my blogging break…

The main man of our house is off to sleep under the stars for 5 days ( no tent..).. with some pretty amazing guys.  Can not wait to hear of the deeds God does.. but in the mean time the 5 of us on the home from would love your prayers.  Maybe, with my sweet husband gone I will have time to catch up on what has been happening around here…

they like to see themselves…

by Dena on May 18th, 2011

I am in hardly any of the family pics.. mainly cause I am always taking them.. the other day P & Z wanted me to take a picture of them so they could see themselves… I forced my way into the photo… notice how they are both looking at the camera.. I had told them to “give mama some loving”.  Shows ya.. they are always thinking about number 1…

P.S.. Care .. this is BEFORE my recent cut and color..

House of boys.

by Dena on May 18th, 2011

this weekend P and I will be getting out of town for our first girls weekend away.. I am not sure who is more excited.  She packed her suitcase days ago, including her “nuggely” which she has slept with the past 3 years.. AND 8 pairs of jammies.  These boys are flying solo for a few days and I can not wait to hear and see the adventures they have.  Goodness knows the mess will be waiting for me when I get home..

When we found out the girls would  be heavily outnumbered in the Pischke house, Kevin promised lots of fun for me and my baby girl.. can not wait to share pics with you when we return.
