Deep thoughts by Zeke:

by Dena on February 8th, 2010

Yesterday at the lunch table this conversation was had//

Coop:  Mom can God see everything?

Me:  Yes, he sure can.  He can see us when we are sleeping, he can see us when we are playing.  God can see all things……

Coop:  So.. can God see under this table?

Me:  Yes he can.

(2 minutes later)

Zeke:  Hey mom.. I’m like God cause I can see under this table too!

Coop came up the stairs to show me this masterpiece… Exclaiming that he drew “himself, Paige, Zeke and Daddy with presents all around us”.  Next week will be working on Acts 20:35.. “It is more blessed to give then receive”.

not so perfect..

by Dena on February 5th, 2010

I make mistakes.. A LOT.. there I said it.. actually I make them all the time.  These three kids often show me what true forgiveness really looks like.  Cooper, Paige & Zeke..my daily prayer as of  late has been “that God would build you up where I have torn you down”.

Fisher {12 weeks}

by Dena on February 5th, 2010

WOW.. 3 months.. How you have grown…  At 12 weeks you …

Sleep through the night (yippee)
Take 4 naps a day.
Laugh ALOT at your brothers and sister.
Still wear size 0 to 3 month clothes.
Wear size 1 diapers.
Have tickle spots that make you giggle.
You still love bath time and we love giving them to you.
You love to be swaddled.. I tired to wean you from it this week but you would have none of that.  Whatever it takes to keep you sleeping I will do!  Love you Fisher!

Fisher {10weeks}

by Dena on January 20th, 2010
At 10 weeks you are:

Smiling A LOT.
Sleeping almost through the night.
Starting to laugh.
Starting to coo and talk to us.
Developing a much nicer.. less grumpy.. disposition (I think this is because you are sleeping better).

You love a nice bath.   We give you one everyday.   Your bothers and sister fight over who gets to join you.

You love to be held.

You love to watch your siblings play.

You weigh 11 pounds 13 ounces.

You are LONG.. 24 inches

I love to hold you while you sleep.

You are loved Fisher!

These boys and their toys…

by Dena on January 18th, 2010

We have entered a new phase in Pischke  house! One Kevin could not be more excited about. As for me.. I’m trying to roll with it.. STAR WARS. Not sure where to begin.. Bo-bo fet, Luke Sky walker, Hans Solo, Darth Vader, Ob1Kenobi, R2D2, clone troopers, snow troopers, storm troopers, millenium falcon, Jaba, wookies, e-walks.. those are just the ones I hear repeatedly throughout the day.  Many times I am suggesting the boys wait till daddy gets home for a question, because I truly have no clue what the answer could possibly be.  By the time Fisher is into this stuff I am sure I will have all the answers (maybe even the spelling of their names).

I also have given in to the ridiculous amount of violent (AKA weapon) play in the house.  Kill this, die that…. After all how do you protect Princess Leia without a weapon?  Kevin keeps telling me this is how boys play.  So.. what did I say this morning when Paige asked me “Mom is this a banger (holding some random toy weapon)”..  “NO sister, that is a GUN”..ugh

These pictures have nothing to do with Star Wars.. just some adorable brothers playing outside before the 10 days of  forecasted  rain.. pray for us!

duck, duck, lunch

by Dena on January 14th, 2010

It seems like the last 2 weeks the weather has kept us housebound!  The sun has been shining for 2 days now and is beginning to dry things up!   Today we ventured outdoors, again… with some of our favorite people, and headed to this adorable duck pond.  The kids fed about 2 loaves of scraps I have been accumulating in the freezer to some hungry, yet cautious ducks.  Once Paige was confident the ducks were not going to eat her she was tossing bread right alongside all these boys!  A nice little stroll around the pond and lunch on the bench capped off the event.  We are so thankful for where we live and the amazing friends we get to “do life with”.

Can you see Titus saying “cheese” in this picture?

Garage Sale..

by Dena on January 13th, 2010

We gave away all our baby stuff when Paige & Zeke were younger, cause we were DONE having babies, so I bought this little number at a garage sale for pennies on the dollar! Good thing… cause Fisher likes to be held by his mama rather than plopped in this cozy baby seat.  But Zeke has taken a liking to plopping down and having a read in it whenever he gets the chance (or whenever the other two are not lounging in it themselves).

Paige was holding Fisher yesterday (one of her favorite things to do) and lifted up her shirt and offered to feed him..  HA.. She is honestly Fisher’s number one fan. Why wouldn’t she be… his crying does not keep her up at night!
